IT Technical Generalist

Overview

We are always seeking IT Technical Generalists to join our team at WR360. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing desktop support, network support, and cloud services to our clients. They will be able to work effectively as part of a team, uphold honesty and trust as core values, manage their time efficiently, interact positively with customers and colleagues, and maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide desktop support to clients including hardware and software troubleshooting, installation, and upgrades.
  • Offer network support by monitoring and maintaining network systems, diagnosing, and resolving network issues, and assisting in the implementation of network infrastructure changes.
  • Administer cloud services such as Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace, including configuration, troubleshooting, and support.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely resolution of technical issues and complete projects within established timelines.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, technical issues, and service requests.
  • Interact positively with clients and colleagues to establish and maintain strong relationships.
  • Continuously improve technical skills and knowledge to remain up to date with new technologies and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in computer science, Information Technology or related field preferred, or relevant work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT support, including desktop support, network support, and cloud services.
  • Relevant IT certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+, are a plus.
  • Certification in Microsoft end-user or cloud technologies are preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace administration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Honesty and trust as core values, with the ability to maintain confidentiality when required.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions

  • This is a full-time position, typically working regular business hours Monday through Friday.
  • Occasional weekend and after-hours work may be required to support client needs.
  • This position will require travel to client locations, having your own vehicle and a valid South African drivers license is required.
